Linklater's Fast Food Nation
Richard Linklater, known for such films as Waking Life, School of Rock, and the soon to be released A Scanner Darkly, just screened an independent film promoting vegetarianism and animal rights issues. Based on Eric Schlosser's bestseller of the same name, the film Fast Food Nation creates a fictional story set in the factual framework of the book. The characters represent the entire span of fast food, from the president of a fast food chain, to the employees, suppliers, and consumers.
